TAKE ACTION
STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION

There are several ways to TAKE ACTION at the State Board of Education (SBOE). The most important place to begin is educating yourself about the issues at the State Board and the different approaches the State Board and Ohio Department of Education are taking to educate the Whole Child and  infuse Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) into education across the state.

From there, you can:
  1. Attend and SPEAK OUT at the monthly State Board of Education meetings
  2. Submit written Public Comment for the State Board meeting, if you cannot attend in person
  3. Contact your own State Board representative
  4. Submit Letters to the Editor and Op-Eds to local media
  5. Contact Ohio legislators letting them know why DEI must be a priority in Ohio education

We've provided helpful resources below to get you started.  Select one or do them ALL!
