Protect OUR Freedom to Learn on May 3, 2023!
The African American Policy Forum is hosting a national DAY OF ACTION on May 3, 2023, to protect honest education and our freedom to learn!
Communities, large and small, will host events, programs, gatherings, and discussions on May 3rd to protect the freedom to learn and center our values of equity, inclusion and social justice. Through collective actions across the country, we will resist restrictions on the freedom to learn, fight anti-woke disinformation campaigns and demonstrate majoritarian support for equity in our schools, campuses, and workplaces. Our collective emphatically opposes the attacks being waged on educational curricula in the United States and elsewhere against intersectionality, critical race theory, Black feminism, queer theory, and other frameworks that address structural inequality.
Honesty for Ohio Education is PROUD to partner with AAPF to provide multiple ways that Ohioans can TAKE ACTION in every corner of our great state.

About the Freedom to Learn
About AAPF: Founded in 1996, The African American Policy Forum (AAPF) is an innovative think tank that connects academics, activists and policy-makers to promote efforts to dismantle structural inequality. We utilize new ideas and innovative perspectives to transform public discourse and policy. We promote frameworks and strategies that address a vision of racial justice that embraces the intersections of race, gender, class, and the array of barriers that disempower those who are marginalized in society. AAPF is dedicated to advancing and expanding racial justice, gender equality, and the indivisibility of all human rights, both in the U.S. and internationally.
