Welcome to the Honesty for Ohio Education Coalition, representing more than 70 state and national organizational partners and thousands of Ohioans who believe every child deserves an honest, high-quality education in a welcoming school environment. Honesty partners commit to upholding the mission of Honesty for Ohio Education.

Our Values 

  • A fully resourced and inclusive public education system is essential to preparing students for economic success and sustaining a thriving, multiracial democracy.

  • Students should be free to learn in honest, high-quality environments that reflect truth, facts, and diverse perspectives.

  • Students and educators should have the freedom to engage in critical thinking, reflection, and open dialogue without political interference or censorship.

  • Students and communities benefit most when families, skilled educators, and local school boards—not politicians or outside interests—collaborate to shape meaningful learning experiences.

  • Attend the weekly Honesty Coalition meeting 
    Share and receive information and updates

  • Join an Honesty Work Group 
    Current Groups: Religion in Schools, Private School Vouchers, 2025 School Board Elections, and K-12 Civil Rights

  • Join an Honesty Alliance
    Current Alliances: Youth Action Team, School Board (sitting school board members only)

  • Support Honesty Programs & Events
    Help facilitate Honesty programming as a contributor, panelist, or subject matter expert 

  • Share Honesty information, updates, and resources within your network and community

  •  Respond to and share calls to action, including:

    • Submit & Present Testimony

    • Engage State & Local Officials

    • Sign petitions & letters

    • Submit Letters to the Editor or Op-Eds​

    • Attend hearings, rallies, demonstrations, lobby days, press conferences, etc
