Join an Honesty Team in your community to unite with students, families, educators, civic leaders, groups, and organizations who all believe in honest, inclusive education.

Honesty Teams work locally and statewide to build what WE WANT and what STUDENTS DESERVE in Ohio schools. Together, we are transforming Ohio classrooms into vibrant, nurturing spaces that celebrate all students for who they are and who they dream to become.

​What do Honesty Teams do?
​
  • Educate communities about the importance of honest education grounded in a Whole Child framework
  • Work with residents and schools to create inclusive, affirming policies that center student wellness and academic success
  • Build meaningful relationships with school boards, administration, educators, staff, and community stakeholders
  • Attend regular school board meetings, school committees, and task forces
  • Get Out The Vote to promote civic engagement in local elections with a special focus on school board races
  • And more!

​Honesty Teams meets virtually monthly
  • Organizing Skill Training Sessions: 3rd Tuesday of the month at noon and 7pm
    • Want to grow your skills as an advocate and organizer for strong, inclusive schools? Join Honesty Teams every month on the third Tuesday for training on a new skill to build your organizing, your team, and your power!
  • Leadership Meeting: Last Wednesday of the month at 7pm​
    • Monthly Teams Leadership Meetings are opportunities for local leaders from Ohio's 611 school districts to come together, share experiences, and strategize together on ongoing Teams campaigns—Religious Extremism, Vouchers, 2025 School Board Races.

​Gather with fellow honest education champions across the Buckeye state to:
  • Get trained on ways to engage in positive, pro-education advocacy at the local level
  • Learn how to build equitable, inclusive, culturally responsive school policies that affirm all identities, cultures, and lived experiences in the classroom.​
  • Share important updates, news, and information about your schools with the statewide Honesty Teams community
  • Identify and dismantle hateful extremism and political violence rooted in white supremacy values and ideologies
  • Learn important organizing skills to engage, activate, and mobilize people from all backgrounds and communities.
  • ​Share strategies to build power, advance Honesty values, and create safe communities

​Honesty Teams for Ohio Education is proud to partner with HEAL Together and the #PublicSchoolStrong campaign to build an Honesty Movement in communities across Ohio.

​About Public School Strong: The Public School Strong campaign is a grassroots movement to transform our public schools into places where every child can thrive, and to neutralize and dilute extremist attacks. Created by HEAL Together North Carolina, the Public School Strong campaign uses local, community-based organizing tactics to recruit and prepare parents, educators, youth, and community members in public school districts across target states to show visible support at their local school board meetings for what most Americans really want — well-resourced public schools that ensure equitable outcomes for all.
