TAKE ACTION NOW

STOP House Bill 327

UPDATE

Rep. Fowler Arthur Alarming, Misleading Remarks about the Holocaust

During a recorded interview with News 5 Reporter Morgan Trau, HB 327 Primary Sponsor Rep. Sarah Fowler Arthur made
alarming, misleading remarks about the Holocaust. Her misrepresentation of the horrors and
death toll of the Holocaust further demonstrate that HB 327 is designed to sanitize hate and genocide and
perpetuate antisemitism, racism, homophobia, and hate.

After the interview, Rep. Fowler Arthur refused multiple opportunities to clarify her remarks and
repair the harm inflicted on Holocaust survivors and families, Jewish communities and organizations, and
other victims targeted by the reign and terror of Nazi Germany.

This is a clear display of the intentional harm and lack of accountability inherent in these types of bills and their supporters.

What is House Bill 327 - Ohio's "Divisive Concept" Bill?

House Bill 327 censors honest education, discussion, and training about our history, racism, sexism, gender, and LGBTQ+ identity.

It targets K-12 schools, state higher ed campuses, political subdivisions, and state agencies.

HB 327 whitewashes and sanitizes our history and dehumanizes Black, brown, LatinX, Asian, Indigenous, and LGBTQ+ communities by labeling our lives, experiences, and truths as "divisive concepts".

Worse, this educational gag order punishes Ohio educators for teaching the truth by threatening tenure and revoking professional licensure.
